2017 Music - EMHS Touring Choir
The Eastern Mennonite High School Touring Choir is composed of approximately 40 singers in grades 11 and 12. The choir performs repertoire from the classical and contemporary sacred literature as well as repertoire from other traditions and styles and maintains an extensive touring and concert schedule in the US each spring and tours internationally on alternating years, usually to locations in central and eastern Europe. We seek to sing with a spiritual connection to the music, our audience, each other, and God in an attitude of worship that goes beyond mere performance, believing that choral excellence and spiritual meaning reinforce each other, whether singing on a street corner or in a cathedral.

2015 Music - Southern Hospitality
Southern Hospitality is Nick Collins, Donn Meyerhoeffer, Dale Roller, and Mike Western. All are original members of The Bluegrass Blues, which formed in 1974. The group began singing and playing together after becoming friends at Fort Defiance High School in Augusta County, Virginia.
The Bluegrass Blues recorded their first album, “Pickin’ To Beat the Devil” in late 1975, which included original and traditional songs. As their style evolved to include other types of music, they renamed the group Southern Hospitality and performed regularly throughout the state of Virginia.
In the early 1980s, the members dispersed to pursue musical and other careers. Ten years later, four of the five original members reunited to play at their local churches.
Over the last 20 years, Southern Hospitality has performed primarily Southern and
Bluegrass Gospel music, but also various types of music including Country &
Western. They bring a blend of 4-part
harmony, adding their unique style to many old-time favorites.
